Food safety
Allergen policy
Every recipe lists the nine major US food allergens (milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soybeans and sesame) for its ingredients.
What the labels mean
- Contains: an ingredient in the recipe contains the allergen.
- Check label: some brands of an ingredient contain it (for example broth with wheat or soy).
- Not identified: none of the reviewed ingredients list it. This is not an allergen-free guarantee.
Your allergen profile
Set the allergens you avoid under My kitchen. Recipes that contain them are marked everywhere on the site. Your profile stays on your device unless you sign in.
Always check
Brands change their recipes and kitchens have cross-contact. With a serious allergy, read every label and follow your doctor's advice.
